Case Histories by
Kate Atkinson. It was interesting to see a literary fiction writer cross over into crime fiction and do a great job giving the genre some proper emotional weight. It reminded me, on this point, of
Atwood's "transgressions" into science fiction (am I allowed to speak of this genre here?). Anyway, I wrote a bit more over here ...
